CasaLatina Responsible Business: Honouring Heritage, Empowering Artisans, and Embracing Sustainable Living

"IN A WORLD WHERE PROFIT OFTEN TRUMPS PURPOSE, RESPONSIBLE BUSINESSES STAND OUT AS BEACONS OF HOPE AND POSSIBILITY."

– ARIANNA HUFFINGTON

Sharon and Aleja founders of CasaLatina

Hey there, I'm Sharon, one of the co-founders of CasaLatina, and I'm excited to share our responsible business journey with you. Aleja and I, lifelong friends, have embarked on an incredible mission to create CasaLatina, a brand driven by a deep reverence for artisanal traditions from Colombia and Venezuela. Our commitment to ethical production, ancestral techniques, and collaboration with local artisans has positioned CasaLatina as a torchbearer of heritage and a leader in promoting positive social and environmental impact.

Our Mission and Values

At CasaLatina, we're guided by the values of responsible business. We believe in the power of the handmade, the stories behind each product, and the artisans who bring them to life. Our mission is to preserve ancient artistry, empower artisans, and champion sustainable living practices. Every step we take is infused with our commitment to responsible business practices that honor both people and the planet.

Preserving Treasured Heritage

The heritage of Colombian and Venezuelan communities is a treasure trove of ancestral craft techniques that are deeply rooted in their identity and culture. CasaLatina is dedicated to showcasing these traditions on a global stage, ensuring their preservation and passing them down to future generations. Our responsible business approach honours the legacy of these artisans and thier craftsmanship.

Fostering Fairness and Respect for Artisans

Our responsible business practices extend to the relationships we have with our supplier artisans. We prioritise fair compensation, extended lead times, and provide support during life's challenges. CasaLatina is committed to fostering transparent and fair partnerships that respect the dignity and talent of the artisans we work with. It's about building a community of trust and collaboration.

Embracing Sustainable Living

As a responsible business, environmental responsibility is fundamental to CasaLatina's ethos. We use local, natural materials to hand-make our products and prioritize sustainable packaging and shipping methods to reduce waste. Our commitment to sustainable living is a testament to our dedication to leaving a positive impact on the planet for future generations.
