The Dark Helecho Side Plate in Fern Green is the premium companion to the white-ground Helecho range — and our bestselling Dark Helecho piece. A deep, forest-toned ground carries a freehand white fern wreath, creating an effect that feels botanical yet bold, natural yet considered. Each plate passes through the kiln three times to achieve the depth and richness of the coloured ground — a more demanding process that results in exceptional durability and a glaze of unusual intensity.

At the table, the Dark Helecho Fern Green side plate is quietly commanding. It works beautifully alongside the white-ground Helecho pieces for a layered, tonal tablescape, and pairs naturally with dark wood, aged brass and deep green botanicals. Use it as a bread plate, a starter course or a small dessert plate — it elevates everything it holds.

Each plate is painted entirely freehand in Carmen de Viboral, Colombia. No two are exactly alike.

Commercial Dishwasher Safe: All pieces can be safely washed in both domestic and commercial dishwashers.
Microwave Safe: Suitable for everyday reheating and use in the microwave.
Oven Safe up to 180°C: Perfect for warming dishes or finishing recipes in the oven. Avoid sudden temperature shocks by bringing pieces to room temperature before heating.

We provide a 1-year warranty against discolouration, ensuring your pieces maintain their artistry and depth of colour through regular use.
