Known as Comal, Budare or Arepera, the Chamba Grill Pan is one of the most essential pieces in Colombian and Venezuelan kitchens — the vessel used daily to prepare the iconic arepa. Rooted in centuries of culinary heritage, it brings authenticity and ritual to any modern kitchen.

Handcrafted in La Chamba from natural black clay and burnished by hand with agate stone, its deep black finish is achieved without glazes or toxins. Ideal for grilling arepas, flatbreads, meats and vegetables, it doubles beautifully as a rustic serving platter or cheese board. A timeless piece designed for flame, flavour and gathering.

Handmade from natural, non-toxic black clay, Chamba pieces are made to be used and cherished.

Before first use: Cure by filling to 3/4 with boiling water, placing in a hot oven, and heating for about 30-45 minutes. Allow to cool fully before washing.
Use: Oven-safe and suitable for open flame. Not compatible with induction. Avoid sudden temperature changes.
Care: Hand wash only. Not dishwasher safe. Restore sheen by wiping with white wine vinegar.

Crafted using ancestral techniques, each piece will develop its own rich character over time.
